THE SAVEKARO GUIDE

Why a Public Video Link Will Not Download

A public page and a downloadable media file are different things. Follow the message you see to work out what can be tried next.

Updated

Check access without your signed-in session

A link may work for you because your account belongs to a private group, follows a protected profile or meets the source’s viewing restrictions. The download service does not use your account session.

SaveKaro does not request social passwords or login cookies, and cannot unlock private, paid, age-restricted or protected media. Even a page that opens while signed out can refuse third-party media requests.

Match the message to the next step

Use the result’s message to decide whether to change the link, wait for preparation or check the browser. These are different stages of the download.

What you seeWhat to check
No downloadable media was returnedConfirm that the post contains the kind of media you selected. Try the individual post link, not its profile.
Source unavailable or blockedCheck that the source still exists and is public. A third-party access restriction may remain even when you can watch the post.
Queued, preparing or convertingA provider job is in progress. Leave the wait open or keep browsing. The file is not ready until completion.
Preparation failedTry a lower returned quality or another accessible public link. Retrying cannot guarantee provider access.
File expiredCheck the original post again and prepare a new result. Old provider file links can stop working.
Open original or browser saving failedThe source may require its own download flow. Open original and use a download option supplied by the source, if available.

Missing formats are not hidden settings

If a result has no audio or photo option, the source did not report that media in a supported form. A silent video cannot supply an MP3 soundtrack, and a video thumbnail is not automatically a downloadable gallery.

Likewise, changing the filename or URL parameters cannot add a missing resolution. Choose a format actually returned by the tool and preview the finished file.

When the file is ready but you cannot find it

After selecting the final download button, check the browser’s Downloads list for progress or an error. Save link only bookmarks the source within this browser; it does not download media.

A blocked, interrupted or expired download may need a fresh result. Respect the source’s restrictions and save only content you own or have permission to download.
