THE SAVEKARO GUIDE

Video Quality and Download Formats Explained

Choose a format that fits the source and your device. A higher number is useful only when that quality is actually available.

Choose from the formats returned for your link

SaveKaro checks the source before showing quality choices. The list is limited by both the media reported for that post and the formats accepted by the preparation provider. It is not a fixed menu of every resolution.

A video playing at a particular quality on its original website does not prove the same file is available to the download provider. SaveKaro does not upscale a lower-resolution source or create a missing HD option.

ChoiceWhat it means here
A resolution such as 360p or 720pThat resolution was reported and is accepted by the preparation service.
Best available sourceExact usable dimensions were not available, or the result uses the provider’s best-source selection. It is not a promise of 4K.
MP3 audioThe source reported audio that the provider can attempt to prepare separately.
Original photosThe source reported gallery images rather than only a page thumbnail.

Video formats and audio tracks are separate choices

MP4 and WebM identify media containers. A filename ending in .mp4 does not by itself tell you the resolution, the codec or whether an audio track is present. Check the returned label and preview, then try the completed file in your device’s player.

Some source videos keep picture and sound in separate streams. The provider may need to fetch and merge them before delivering one file, even when it avoids re-encoding the video. A silent source or inaccessible audio track cannot be repaired by choosing a larger resolution.

MP3 audio and photo galleries

Select Audio when you need the reported soundtrack without the video. Social audio preparation uses MP3 when available and requires conversion. Choosing audio does not retrieve music that the source did not expose.

Photos appears only when the result includes images. A gallery can arrive as an individual file or a bundle. The external provider packages galleries above ten photos as a photo-only ZIP. Extract a ZIP on your device to access its individual images.

Why a high-quality file can take longer

Preparation can include waiting in a queue, fetching source streams, combining media and—in the case of MP3—converting audio. Long videos, large streams and a busy external provider can all add time.

If you do not need the largest file, choose a lower available resolution before starting a new job. It can reduce the amount of media to fetch, but does not guarantee a faster place in the queue. Repeatedly starting jobs can add unnecessary work. Stopping the wait in SaveKaro ends its polling; it does not cancel the provider’s job.

A direct file keeps its original format

A direct media URL points to a file such as MP4, WebM, MP3 or an image. SaveKaro can check supported public files without sending them through social-media preparation. It does not convert a direct file simply because you change its name.

Browser saving can still depend on the source’s cross-origin settings and file size. SaveKaro’s browser-buffered save is limited to 150 MB; Open original can let the source handle a larger file or its own download flow.
